Accounting Manager

The accounting manager’s goal is to fulfill revenue objectives and adhere to accounting and reporting policies. This includes reviewing and analyzing finances, ensuring compliance with regulations and refining reporting documentation. This is all performed while verifying the integrity and accuracy of financial operations, safeguarding organizational assets and developing efficient business processes to record revenue. The accounting manager is also responsible for overseeing contracts, as it relates to financial reporting, leading strategic planning for accounting policies and maintaining internal controls over financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the general accounting function
  • Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements
  • Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization

Qualifications:

Accounts Receivable Associate

This position is responsible for recording payments to customers’ accounts and maintaining accounts receivable records by billing and collecting all group and owner receivables.  In addition, this position researches and processes customer invoice payments, charge backs, returns, bad checks, disputes and reconciliations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as this position corresponds with condominium owners, vendors, and employees, as it relates to resolution of accounts, procedures and services.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounts receivable or collections experience

Concierge

Banquet Server

As a Banquet Server, you will deliver a high level of banquet service according to standards of management and AAA Four Diamond standards. Banquet Servers will execute a high caliber of service to clients before, during, and after banquet functions, including preparing and set up of functions, service and bussing of functions, and proper cleaning, sanitation, and return of all equipment after functions are completed. Qualified candidates must have customer service experience and the ability to demonstrate initiative and maintain a professional demeanor.  Banquet service and/or serving experience is recommended.

This position requires the associate to be on his/her feet for up to 8 hours each day.  Additionally, the candidate must stand, walk, bend, reach forward and over the shoulder, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds and push 100+ pounds.  The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment.  Weekday, evening and weekend availability is required.

Banquet Manager

The Osthoff Resort is seeking an experienced, detail-orientated individual to join our team as Banquet Manager.  Responsible for the daily operations of the 30,000+ sq. feet of event space.  This position encompasses food, beverage, and service management.  This position will ensure efficiency in the operations of all areas, as well as maintaining high standards in production, productivity, and customer service to the level of Triple A, 4 diamond requirements.

The Banquet Manager is responsible for selecting, scheduling, training, and managing staff for the efficient operation of banquets; monitoring and controlling the outlet budget and its components (labor costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality customer service; assisting staff on the day to day operations of the banquets and the servicing of our guests; and responding to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems by establishing a floor presence with groups to ensure a quality experience and to enhance the dining experience of our guests.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must have four years of hospitality experience, two years of proven managerial skills and experience in a banquets, with the service of food and various alcoholic beverages. Candidates must be organized, detail-orientated, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Outlook) and POS systems. Qualified candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, be able to obtain a license to serve alcohol, and be able to work a flexible schedule year-round, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

The Banquets Manager position is a Full-Time position which includes eligibility for our complete benefit package, as well as resort-wide discounts.

Line Cook - Full Time / Part Time

Our Line Cooks are responsible for setting up cooking lines, stocking and organizing workstations, preparing food items based on recipes, portion controls, and standard presentations; restocking food items as needed throughout the shifts, and maintaining a smooth flow of service during high-volume service hours. Qualified candidates must have two years of prior line experience working in a fine dining establishment.

A culinary degree and ServSafe certification are preferred, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills are also strongly desired. Successful candidates should have experience setting up cooking lines, stocking, and organizing workstations, as well as a flexible schedule with daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Restaurant Server - Part Time

The Restaurant Server is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience.  Qualified applicants will have previous experience working in a fine dining atmosphere, have excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate above average guest service etiquette.  This is a part-time position working primarily evening and weekend hours.  Ideal candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and have year-round day, night, and weekend availability.

Busser

The Busser is responsible for maintaining the dining area; clearing and resetting tables and taking dishes to the kitchen area. The restaurant Busser stocks bus stations, cleans glassware, and refills drinks. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Front Desk Associate

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, making resort reservations, cash handling, and answering phones. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of professionalism, strong customer service skills as well as a flexible schedule with daytime, evening, and weekend availability. Previous Front Desk Service experience is ideal, but not required. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

 

Front Desk Supervisor

The Front Desk Supervisor will attend to guest needs whether on the phone or in person while greeting and welcoming guests as they pass through the lobby and make sure that Front Desk Associates do the same.

  • Will provide prompt friendly and courteous service in all aspects of the job
  • Will be on stage when we are at the front desk or visible to our guest and will act accordingly

Night Audit Associate

This position reports directly to the Front Office Manager, and is responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, making hotel reservations, cash handling, answering phones, and processing nightly paperwork. The Night Audit Associate position requires an individual in possession of a high degree of professionalism as well as strong customer service skills.

The ideal candidate should have a flexible schedule with evening and early morning availability. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and bending. Lifting requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous hotel and customer service experience preferred.

 

Security Associate

The Security Associate will report directly to the Front Office Manager, and be responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include assisting the Night Auditor with guests check-in’s and outs, assisting with hotel reservations, cash handling, answering phones, and ensuring the safety of the Resort.

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of professionalism, previous hotel experience and strong customer service skills, as well as a flexible schedule with night, early morning, and weekday availability.

 

Reservation Associate

The Osthoff Resort is currently seeking a part-time Reservations Agent. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities of this position include assisting current guests and prospective guests in the reservation-making process – including being knowledgeable in all areas of the resort and recreation available in the surrounding area. Occasionally, this position will assist the Reservation Manager with group contracts, coordinating group room reservations with group contacts, and working with the Front Office department to assist in reservations and occasional front desk duties. This position will also work very closely with all aspects of the resort. Qualified candidates must be proficient with the computer, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and should be knowledgeable of the local area.

Our Reservations Agent will answer guest’s questions and describe the rooms, amenities, and rates while assisting the guest in booking their resort reservation. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships both with internal and external customers, assist in managing all reservation sales activities to maximize revenue potential for the resort and implement and maintain quality standards for the Reservations Department. The hours for this role may vary from 8am to 9:30pm, including weekends.

Landscape Technician

This position is a full-time year-round role that maintains the maintenance of our resort’s grounds, parking lots and gardens. Qualified candidates must have experience including, but not limited to: hard surface maintenance, mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, pesticide applications, turf irrigation, holiday lighting and décor’, hardscape installation, and snow removal.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a broad knowledge of grounds, turf, and plant care with at least two years landscape experience or related education. Commercial Pesticide Applicator Category 003.0 Turf & Landscape Certification is a plus or must be obtained within first year of employment.  Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate all grounds machinery. The ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on landscape equipment is highly recommended. The ideal candidate should have the availability to work weekends/holidays throughout the year and be on-call for snow removal during winter months.

 

Lead Landscape Technician

The Lead Landscape Technician is responsible for the completion and assisting of planning daily landscape maintenance activities throughout the Resort.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner
  • Operation of light to heavy equipment
  • Perform general landscape maintenance including but not limited to mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, mulching, pesticide applications, holiday lighting, hardscape installation, removal of trash, and snow removal
  • Ability to lead, assign, and direct Grounds Crew in landscape maintenance functions of the resorts grounds, garden, and equipment

The Osthoff Resort, a AAA Four Diamond lakeside resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is currently seeking a Human Resource Coordinator. This position contributes to cultivating, demonstrating, and emphasizing the culture of our company and of our resort’s mission and vision.

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by tracking, reviewing, and sourcing candidates
  • Schedule and conduct onboarding paperwork sessions with new hires

The Closet Stocker is responsible for transporting and stocking clean linens from our Laundry department to our housekeeping closets. Night Runner

The Osthoff Resort's Housekeeping standards, which include delivering a high level of cleanliness within guest rooms in accordance to the expectations of management and AAA Four Diamond Standards, are essential functions of this position. The Night Runner position is responsible for cleaning of public areas in the Resort, providing housekeeping assistance to guest suites as requested, and stocking, maintaining, and preparing the housekeeping department for the following day.

The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task, and work with others as well as independently within a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be available to work a schedule including nights and weekends between the hours of 4pm and Midnight. Starting and ending times may vary slightly based on the needs of the business. Requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, having the ability to be on his or her feet for up to 8 hours each day, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, ascending and descending stairs, and kneeling.

 

Room Attendant

The Room Attendant position is responsible refreshing rooms with occupied guests as well as preparing rooms for arriving guests.  This position requires the associate to be on his or her feet for 4- 7 hours each day, and involves bending and lifting up to 30 pounds, ascending and descending stairs, and kneeling. The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be available to work day shifts throughout the week.

Watersports Crew - Seasonal

As a Watersports Crew member, you will be responsible for assisting guests with the variety of recreational experiences we offer along the beautiful shores of Elkhart Lake.

Qualified candidates must have customer service experience, excellent communication skills, be able to work well with others, and have a broad knowledge of boating equipment. Boater’s license is a plus. Candidates must be able to take and give direction and work independently. Must have a flexible schedule with day, evening, and weekend availability, and be available to work 20-25 hours/week. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
