Accounting Manager

The accounting manager’s goal is to fulfill revenue objectives and adhere to accounting and reporting policies. This includes reviewing and analyzing finances, ensuring compliance with regulations and refining reporting documentation. This is all performed while verifying the integrity and accuracy of financial operations, safeguarding organizational assets and developing efficient business processes to record revenue. The accounting manager is also responsible for overseeing contracts, as it relates to financial reporting, leading strategic planning for accounting policies and maintaining internal controls over financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the general accounting function
  • Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements
  • Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of data
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • Maintains sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline required

Accounts Receivable Associate

This position is responsible for recording payments to customers’ accounts and maintaining accounts receivable records by billing and collecting all group and owner receivables.  In addition, this position researches and processes customer invoice payments, charge backs, returns, bad checks, disputes and reconciliations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as this position corresponds with condominium owners, vendors, and employees, as it relates to resolution of accounts, procedures and services.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounts receivable or collections experience

Concierge 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Must have an exceptional eye for detail and desire to go above and beyond for our guests and team and love to smile
  • Must have the ability to make things happen by providing the ultimate Spa Experience from the moment you greet the guests, assist with lockers, show guests all amenities and all that allows for a seamless experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand during entire shift when not on a scheduled break
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull objects and laundry throughout your shift

Banquet Server

As a Banquet Server, you will deliver a high level of banquet service according to standards of management and AAA Four Diamond standards. Banquet Servers will execute a high caliber of service to clients before, during, and after banquet functions, including preparing and set up of functions, service and bussing of functions, and proper cleaning, sanitation, and return of all equipment after functions are completed. Qualified candidates must have customer service experience and the ability to demonstrate initiative and maintain a professional demeanor.  Banquet service and/or serving experience is recommended.

This position requires the associate to be on his/her feet for up to 8 hours each day.  Additionally, the candidate must stand, walk, bend, reach forward and over the shoulder, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds and push 100+ pounds.  The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment.  Weekday, evening and weekend availability is required.

 

Banquet Setup Associate - Part Time

This position is responsible for accurate setup and teardown of all meeting and catered functions at The Osthoff Resort, ensuring that all required items are in place prior to each function.  The Setup Associate must be capable of lifting, transporting, and storing all furniture and equipment necessary for the setting up and tearing down of functions. These items include, but are not limited to, tables, chairs, podiums, dance floors, equipment, etc... In addition, the Setup Associate is responsible for the cleaning and preparation of meeting rooms and pre-function areas.

This position requires the associate to be on his/her feet for up to 8 hours each day.  Additionally, the candidate must stand, walk, bend, reach forward and over the shoulder, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds and push 100+ pounds.  The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment.  Weekday, evening and weekend availability is required.

Restaurant Server - Part Time

The Restaurant Server is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience.  Qualified applicants will have previous experience working in a fine dining atmosphere, have excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate above average guest service etiquette.  This is a part-time position working primarily evening and weekend hours.  Ideal candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and have year-round day, night, and weekend availability.

 

Line Cook - Part Time

Our Line Cooks are responsible for setting up cooking lines, stocking and organizing workstations, preparing food items based on recipes, portion controls, and standard presentations; restocking food items as needed throughout the shifts, and maintaining a smooth flow of service during high-volume service hours. Qualified candidates must have two years of prior line experience working in a fine dining establishment.

A culinary degree and ServSafe certification are preferred, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills are also strongly desired. Successful candidates should have experience setting up cooking lines, stocking, and organizing workstations, as well as a flexible schedule with daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

 

Host/Hostess

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner and escorting guests to tables as well as monitoring guest needs.  Qualified candidates must have a flexible schedule including the ability to work evenings and weekends, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to multi-task.

 

Busser

The Busser is responsible for maintaining the dining area; clearing and resetting tables and taking dishes to the kitchen area. The restaurant Busser stocks bus stations, cleans glassware, and refills drinks. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Bartender - Part Time

Our Bartenders are responsible for providing excellent beverage service to our guests while fostering a relaxing atmosphere.  Qualified candidates for this position should have prior bartending experience and excellent knowledge of wines and wine service, beer and mixed drinks.  Applicants should also have exceptional customer-service skills and an outgoing personality.  This is a part-time position which offers a flexible evening and weekend schedule.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a license to serve alcohol.

Conference Services Manager

This position works directly with clients detailing their events and enhance their experience while keeping the resorts best interest in mind. The Conference Services Manager works directly with the clients and all Osthoff departments within the resort to ensure clients; needs are met.

The Conference Services Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Detail meetings and food and beverage needs for all groups.
  • Complete weekly BEO’s and resume
  • Conduct group and wedding tours
  • Create contracts for catering/wedding events
  • Work directly with on-site planners/wedding couples
  • Attend BEO and resume meetings on a weekly basis
  • Responding to clients' emails or phone calls promptly
  • Responding to all email inquiries daily
  • Follow-up to make sure all requests or needs from clients are being met while on-site

Qualified candidates must have High School Diploma, basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office, be able to multi-task, available to work occasional weeknights and weekends, strong customer/guest service skills, be able to be flexible to assist guests with changes as they occur, possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment, have flexibility in time to meet the business needs of the department and organization, ability to learn quickly and accurately.

The Conference Services Manager position is a full-time position which offers a competitive wage and a complete benefits package.

Elk Room Lounge Barista - Part Time

The Osthoff Resort is seeking a customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Elk Room Lounge Barista for our on-site coffee shop. Our Baristas help to provide exceptional Four Diamond service to our guests, while educating and preparing our customers on premium coffee and teas, as well as juices, alcoholic beverages, and light food selections.

Applicants should have an outgoing and friendly personality with prior customer-service experience, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a liquor license to serve alcohol.

Prior hospitality or Barista experience is desired, but not required of applicants to this position. This is a part-time position covering morning and afternoon hours as early as 5:30 a.m. Currently, we have hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings, in April this will change to daily, to accommodate the peak season.

 

Elk Room Lounge Bartender - Part Time

The Osthoff Resort is seeking bartenders to join our team as a Bartender in our eloquent bar/coffee shop -The Elk Room Lounge. Our Bartenders are responsible for providing excellent beverage service to our guests while fostering a relaxing and fun atmosphere.  Prior bartending experience is preferred, but not required. Qualified candidates for this position should have the willingness to learn about wines, beer, and mixed drinks. Exceptional customer service, and an outgoing/engaging personality are required. Being that it is a coffee shop, as well, applicants must be willing to learn how to make coffee drinks.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and able to obtain a liquor license to serve alcohol. The ideal candidate should have a flexible schedule of weekend afternoon and evening with some weekday afternoon and evening availability. Applicants must also being willing to work late nights, possibly 2 a.m. or later.

Front Desk Associate

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, making resort reservations, cash handling, and answering phones. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of professionalism, strong customer service skills as well as a flexible schedule with daytime, evening, and weekend availability. Previous Front Desk Service experience is ideal, but not required. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

 

Bell Attendant Staff

Our Bell Attendant’s work together with the Front Desk to ensure our guests receive hospitable, AAA Four Diamond service upon arrival, at check out, and throughout their entire stay.  Eligible candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have a valid driver’s license. This is a year-round position with our resort which includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

 

Pool/Beach Concierge 

The Pool/Beach Concierge is responsible for overseeing the indoor and outdoor pool and beachfront area. Duties include, but are not limited to, restocking towels, attending to guests and their needs, and providing light maintenance throughout the indoor and outdoor pool area. It is his/her responsibility to monitor the beach, making sure it is only used by guests of The Osthoff Resort, and ensuring all areas are well-kept. Must have the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. This is a seasonal position, working between the months of May-September. Eligible candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work outdoors, lift up to 50 pounds, be at least 14 years old and have a flexible schedule with day, evening and weekend availability.

 

Gift Shoppe Associate - Part Time

The ideal Retail Associate will be a friendly, customer service-oriented salesperson to assist guests, guest sales, and maintain a clean, well-stocked store for day, evening, and/or weekend shifts. This is a year-round position.

 

Night Audit Associate

This position reports directly to the Front Office Manager, and is responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, making hotel reservations, cash handling, answering phones, and processing nightly paperwork. The Night Audit Associate position requires an individual in possession of a high degree of professionalism as well as strong customer service skills.

The ideal candidate should have a flexible schedule with evening and early morning availability. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and bending. Lifting requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous hotel and customer service experience preferred.

 

Security Associate

The Security Associate will report directly to the Front Office Manager, and be responsible for providing AAA Four-Diamond guest service. Responsibilities include assisting the Night Auditor with guests check-in’s and outs, assisting with hotel reservations, cash handling, answering phones, and ensuring the safety of the Resort.

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for a period of up to eight hours in addition to occasional reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of professionalism, previous hotel experience and strong customer service skills, as well as a flexible schedule with night, early morning, and weekday availability.

 

Reservation Associate

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities include assisting current and prospective guests in the reservation-making process – including being knowledgeable in all areas of the resort and recreation available in the surrounding area. Occasionally, this position will assist the Reservation Manager with group contracts, coordinating group room reservations with group contacts, and working with the Front Office department to assist in reservations and occasional front desk duties. Qualified candidates must be proficient with the computer, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and should be knowledgeable of the local area.

Our Reservations Associate will answer guest’s questions and describe the rooms, amenities, and rates while assisting the guest in booking their resort reservation. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships both with internal and external customers, assist in managing all reservation sales activities to maximize revenue potential for the resort and implement and maintain quality standards for the Reservations Department.

Job Status: Part-time. Mainly night and weekend evening hours.

Landscape Technician

This position is a full-time year-round role that maintains the maintenance of our resort’s grounds, parking lots and gardens. Qualified candidates must have experience including, but not limited to: hard surface maintenance, mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, pesticide applications, turf irrigation, holiday lighting and décor’, hardscape installation, and snow removal.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a broad knowledge of grounds, turf, and plant care with at least two years landscape experience or related education. Commercial Pesticide Applicator Category 003.0 Turf & Landscape Certification is a plus or must be obtained within first year of employment.  Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate all grounds machinery. The ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on landscape equipment is highly recommended. The ideal candidate should have the availability to work weekends/holidays throughout the year and be on-call for snow removal during winter months.

 

Landscape Worker 

The Landscape Worker is responsible for the completion of daily landscape maintenance activities throughout the resort. Qualified candidates must be willing to learn or have experience using the various types of lawn and turf equipment for landscape, be able to perform turf maintenance including mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, and mulching, and other tasks as assigned like holiday lighting, removal of trash, and snow removal .

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be able to work well with others, and ability to lift 50+ pounds and kneel, bend, stand, and shovel on a frequent basis. This candidate must be able to take and give direction, and work independently. The ideal candidate should have the availability to work weekends/holidays throughout the year and be on-call for snow removal during winter months. This a part-time year-round position with the ability to work up to 32 hours/week. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Executive Housekeeper - Full Time

This position contributes to cultivating, demonstrating, and emphasizing the culture of our company and of our resort’s mission and vision.

The Executive Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensuring the highest level of cleanliness of guest suites
  • Overseeing cleaning professionals in lodging facilities
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Creating housekeeping work schedules and ensuring their cleaning is done in an effective and timely fashion
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction and handles customer service and complaints
  • Informs staff about the procedures and policies that must be followed while cleaning rooms
  • Supervising staff with unexpected room checks for standards of the resort

Qualified candidates must have at least 7-10 years of successful supervisory experience.  High school diploma/GED required with an excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, both verbal and written, have a well-rounded background in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and have a positive, outgoing personality. The candidate will be required to work various hours including weekends and holidays.

Housekeeping Supervisor - Full Time

We are seeking a friendly, efficient, detail-oriented, and guest focused individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor will train and monitor all Room Attendants, assist with morning preparations and end of day duties, inspect clean rooms, monitor the operations of designated areas, answer radio calls, clean and deep clean rooms as needed.

An ideal candidate will uphold our AAA Four Diamond Housekeeping standards, which include delivering a high level of cleanliness within guest rooms in accordance with the expectations of management and have weekend availability. 2nd Shift Laundry Supervisor - Full Time

Laundry Attendant 1st Shift or 2nd Shift

Our 1st Shift Laundry Attendants are responsible for sorting laundry, loading and emptying washing machines and dryers, folding, ironing, and cleaning the work environment as needed.

Closet Stocker

The Closet Stocker is responsible for transporting and stocking clean linens from our Laundry department to our housekeeping closets. You will help with simple tasks in our laundry department, and assist with folding, sorting and ironing linens. This position requires the associate to be on his or her feet for up to 8 hours, involves bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, ascending and descending stairs, and kneeling. This is a part-time position, and the ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be available to work a varied schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

 

Night Runner

The Osthoff Resort's Housekeeping standards, which include delivering a high level of cleanliness within guest rooms in accordance to the expectations of management and AAA Four Diamond Standards, are essential functions of this position. The Night Runner position is responsible for cleaning of public areas in the Resort, providing housekeeping assistance to guest suites as requested, and stocking, maintaining, and preparing the housekeeping department for the following day.

The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task, and work with others as well as independently within a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be available to work a schedule including nights and weekends between the hours of 4pm and Midnight. Starting and ending times may vary slightly based on the needs of the business. Requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, having the ability to be on his or her feet for up to 8 hours each day, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, ascending and descending stairs, and kneeling.

 

Room Attendant

The Room Attendant position is responsible refreshing rooms with occupied guests as well as preparing rooms for arriving guests.  This position requires the associate to be on his or her feet for 4- 7 hours each day, and involves bending and lifting up to 30 pounds, ascending and descending stairs, and kneeling. The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and work with others, as well as independently, within a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be available to work day shifts throughout the week.

Human Resource Coordinator

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by tracking, reviewing, and sourcing candidates
  • Schedule and conduct onboarding paperwork sessions with new hires
  • Represent resort at job fairs and other community events
  • Maintain personnel records and files—both in paper and database to ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Track and maintain uniform inventory, as well as distribute uniforms to new hires
  • Assist with the coordination of HR Department Functions
  • Respond to unemployment requests along with DOL and employment verifications, all while maintaining confidentiality
  • Assist in the coordination, organization, monitoring and maintaining of Human Resources projects & processes
  • Answer HR department phone calls as well as collecting and distributing department mail
  • Support other HR department functions as assigned

A minimum of one year prior work experience in human resources, or a combination of HR related education and HR work experience is required.  Previous experience in the hospitality or service related industry is preferred. A degree in Human Resources or relevant field is preferred. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and together works collaboratively to accomplish the goals of the department and of the overall organization.

Qualified candidates must have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, both verbal and written, have a well rounded background in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and have a positive, outgoing personality. Past experience with HRIS platforms and recruitment are preferred.

 

Restaurant Server - Part Time

Our Servers are responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience.  Qualified applicants will have previous experience working in a dining atmosphere, have excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate above average guest service etiquette.  This is a part-time position working all shifts including days, evening and weekend hours.  Ideal candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and have year-round and weekend availability.

 

Room Service Attendant

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and exceptional customer service skills.   Daily duties include taking food and beverage orders from the guest, delivering food and beverages in a timely matter, Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services. Collect accurate room service information: willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Host/Hostess

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and exceptional customer service skills.  The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner and escorting guests to tables as well as monitoring guest needs.  Qualified candidates must have the ability to work primarily weekday hours, a strong customer service orientation and the ability to multi-task.

               

Busser

Busser responsible for maintaining the dining area; clearing and resetting tables and taking dishes to the kitchen area. The restaurant Busser stocks bus stations, cleans glassware, and refills drinks. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Line Cook - Part Time

Our Line Cooks are responsible for preparing a’la carte menu items, setting up cooking lines, stocking and organizing work stations, and maintaining a smooth flow of service during high-volume dining times.

Qualified candidates must have two years of prior line experience working in a casual dining establishment, and one year preparing breakfast and lunch items in a high-volume kitchen. A culinary degree and ServSafe certification are preferred, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills are also strongly desired.  This is a part-time position covering primarily weekday and weekend days and afternoons.

 

Bartender - Part Time

Our Bartenders are responsible for providing excellent beverage service to our guests while fostering a relaxing atmosphere.  In addition our bartenders are responsible for to-go orders.  Qualified candidates for this position should have prior bartending experience and excellent knowledge of wines and wine service, beer and mixed drinks.  Applicants should also have exceptional customer-service skills and an outgoing personality.  This is a part-time position which offers a flexible morning, evening and weekend schedules.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a license to serve alcohol.

Water Sports Crew - Part Time, Seasonal

Our water sports department is a dynamic location that offers kayaking, paddle-boarding, paddle boating, pontoon cruises, hydro-bikes, bicycle rentals, and additional activities for both resort guests and the public. We are looking for several people with engaging and professional personalities, who enjoy facilitating experiences to join our team!

The position includes assisting both resort guests and the public with the rental and operation of our equipment, as well as monitoring their safety while in use. Opportunities to drive pontoon boats for guests/groups may be presented to qualified candidates who are ages 18 and older. This is a part-time, fun, outdoor-in-the-sun job!

  • Greet guests in a welcoming, courteous manner
  • Interact with guests by answering phones, responding to questions and making reservations through CRM software
  • Process payment transactions via cash and charge
  • Explaining clearly how to use all rentals
  • Launch and retrieve watercraft and bicycle rentals
  • Sanitize all equipment throughout shift and keep in proper place
  • Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, etc...
