Aspira Spa

  • Massage Therapist

    The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests.  You must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings.  You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the products and services necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.  Must hold and maintain a current Wisconsin license.

    Salary: $800 - $1,600 a week

  • Job title Spa Front Desk/Reservations

    Job Purpose

    The Spa Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the reception area at the spa. Includes the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and products, booking all appointments, checking the guest into the computer system and charging for services performed.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Be on time for your shift
    • Properly open and close spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments.
    • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves spa facilities.
    • Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features and hours of operation.
    • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency.
    • Maintain a Spa Desk Bank.
    • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation.
    • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
    • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests.
    • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
    • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
    • Maintain a clean; safe, fully stocked and well organized work area.
    • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
    • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
    • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
    • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

Food & Beverage

  • Food & Beverage Director

    The Osthoff Resort is searching for a Food & Beverage Director.  The Director of Food & Beverage is an Executive Committee position, responsible for coordinating and directing both the operations and the management team of the Food and Beverage division of The Osthoff Resort.  Operations include Banquets, Kitchens, Restaurants, In-Room Dining, Lounges/Bars, Stewarding, and all other Food or Beverage related areas.  This position is responsible for maintaining a profitable Food and Beverage operation, with high quality products and service levels, consistent with our AAA Four Diamond standards.

    Duties of this position will include short- and long-term business planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations, both in the front and back of the house; development and execution of annual budgets; and coordination of food and beverage operations within the overall food and beverage department as well as with other resort departments, ensuring efficient guest service. 

    Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a senior manager in a variety of food and beverage environments, with proven leadership skills in a multi-outlet organization; with experience creating and implementing cutting edge F&B concepts; and a strong financial understanding of food and beverage operations.  Candidate must be highly organized, an effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, a strong leader, advocate of change, and must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).  Candidate must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment. 

    The Director of Food & Beverage position is a full-time position, which includes eligibility for our complete benefit package, as well as resort-wide amenity usage benefits.  

  • Otto's Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    • Supervise and participate in all front of house duties as required for day-to-day operations of the restaurant.  Train and enforce standards to front of house staff to provide superior guest service. Assist co-workers in offering the best experiences possible to restaurant guests, supporting the AAA Four Diamond brand expectation.  

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Train staff to properly use the POS system, service steps, reservations, and all standard operating procedures.
    • Enforce policies, service standards and procedures that result in a consistently high level of service and customer satisfaction for the restaurant.
    • Create a feeling of teamwork and employee involvement.
    • Ensure compliance with all state and federal food and beverage laws and regulations.
    • Deliver a high level of guest service according to standards of management and in conjunction with other departments involved.
    • Promote The Osthoff Resort’s service principles by example; respond to/ resolve guest or employee inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner.  Make sure to inform the Manager/Supervisor of problems.

    Qualifications

    • Be 18 years of age with Bartending License/Liquor License
    • Must have 1-year previous restaurant.

  • Pastry Chef/Baker

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have previous experience in pastry and baking in a restaurant setting
    • Have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of cooking
    • Have knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc.
    • Be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort.
    • Assist with all phases of inventory and understands par levels of daily foods prepared.
    • Have knowledge of rotation of all foods prepared
    • Ensure quality of desserts and bread items.
    • Have sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tong, slicers, etc.

    $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

  • Line Cook

    The Osthoff Resort is currently seeking a Line Cook.
    Our Line Cooks are responsible for setting up cooking lines, stocking and organizing workstations, preparing food items based on recipes, portion controls, and standard presentations; restocking food items as needed throughout the shifts, and maintaining a smooth flow of service during high-volume service hours.
    A culinary degree and ServSafe certification are preferred, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills are also strongly desired. Positive attitude is a must. Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Successful candidates should have some experience setting up cooking lines, stocking, and organizing workstations. Willing to teach the right candidate.

  • Busser

    The Busser is responsible for maintaining the dining area, clearing and resetting tables and taking dishes to the kitchen area. The restaurant Busser stocks bus stations, cleans glassware, and refills drinks. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to stand and walk for a period of up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

    $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

  • Bartender (Seasonal)

    Job Purpose

    • Provide timely, excellent beverage service to our guests while fostering a relaxing and fun atmosphere.  Have the willingness to learn about wines, beer, and mixed drinks. Exceptional customer service, and an outgoing/engaging personality are required.  Assist co-workers in offering the best experiences possible to restaurant guests, supporting the AAA Four Diamond brand expectation  

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Promptly greet guests.
    • Create bonds with locals and regular
      • Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars.
    • Complete Steps of Service for Bartenders
    • Promote the Osthoff Resorts service principle by example; respond to/resolve Guest inquiries, complaints or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner.  Make sure to inform Restaurant Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader of problems.
    • Prepare drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
    • Maintain bar in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparations and promotions of beverages.
    • Be knowledgeable about beverages products to assist Guest in choices.
    • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar

    Qualifications

    Associate must be knowledgeable of beverages, wines and making a beverage.  Be able to multi-task as business demands.  Must have an outgoing, fun personality, and professional attitude.

Grounds

  • Landscape Technician (Full time or Seasonal)

    Job Purpose

    Responsible for assisting Grounds Manager, Director of Maintenance and applicable organizational staff related to maintaining the property grounds, beautification of property initiatives, and events to achieve organizational objectives.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • The Landscape Technician is responsible for the completion of daily landscape maintenance and property activities throughout the Resort.
    • Perform all assigned tasks in safe manner.
    • Operation of light to heavy equipment
    • Ability to perform or diagnose repair on equipment.
    • Perform general landscape maintenance of the resorts grounds and gardens including but not limited to mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, mulching, pesticide applications, holiday lighting and décor installation, hardscape installations, turf irrigation, removal of trash, and snow removal.
    • Availability to work year-round, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.
    • All other duties as assigned by department Supervisor, Director and/or Executive Team members.

    Qualifications include:

    • Two years related landscape experience or related education.
    • Strong customer/ guest service skills
    • Ability to work well with team environment or independently.
    • Must be able to lift 50 + lbs. on a regular basis.
    • Must be able to kneel, bend, stand, climb ladders, and shovel on a frequent basis.
    • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
    • Knowledge in turf irrigation
    • Commercial Pesticide Applicator License Category 3.0 Turf & Landscape or attain within 1 year of employment.

    Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Housekeeping

  • Laundry Attendant (Seasonal)

    Job Purpose

    To launder all linens used in the Resort. Join our team for the summer season!

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Launder linens from the Rooms Division, Food and Beverage and assist with Spa linens
    • Sort and pre-spot linens
    • Load/unload washers and dryers
    • Iron flat lines
    • Fold large terry pieces with the towel folder
    • Hand fold items that are too large or too small for the automated equipment
    • Daily cleanup of the Laundry operation
    • Any other duties as directed by the Supervisor

    Qualifications

    • Some High School Education preferred
    • Must be over 16 to operate the iron and the towel folder
    • Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment
    • Must have flexibility in time to meet the business needs of the department and organization
    • Ability to learn quickly and accurately

    Working conditions vary based on business needs.  Work may entail weekends and holidays, as necessary.  Overtime may be mandatory in peak season.   • Housekeeping (Seasonal)

    Job Purpose

    To clean guest rooms.  Room attendants provide stayover service to in house guests and provide checkout service for incoming guests.  Room attendants also clean up behind house areas they worked in during the day. Join our housekeeping team for the summer season!

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide stayover service based on what type each guest is assigned
    • Per the Housekeeping Training manual; provide checkout service; cleaning the room to ready it for the next guest
    • Note anything broken or missing from the unit
    • Note anything not able to clean with the products they have available
    • Secure lost and found items left by the guest
    • Deep clean guest rooms
    • Report any equipment not working
    • Clean up your cart and closet at the end of your shift
    • Returning all items to their proper places
    • Assisting coworkers as needed

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma preferred
    • Strong customer/ guest service skills
    • Must be able to work independently
    • Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment

Information Technology

  • Job title System Administrator

    Job Purpose

    Together with the Chief Technology Officer, the System Administrator is responsible for maintaining all aspects of technology at The Osthoff Resort.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implements, monitors, and provides technical support to resort staff.
    • Implements resort specified benchtop computing design and processes.
    • Administers and assures connectivity of resort’s Windows based platform.
    • Conduct and maintain inventory of resort systems.
    • Support of the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications, and imaging of computers.
    • Manage onboarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment.
    • Implements Windows based security, including but not limited to user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.
    • Analyzes, identifies, and implements enhancements, upgrades, and/or solutions to improve overall support of the desktop platform in a timely manner.
    • Ensures adherence to resort’s corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programs.
    • Acts as the technical support contact.
    • Repairing and troubleshooting instrument related computers.
    • Provides technical support for new system validations and change management efforts.
    • Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC s, and software.
    • Acts as client Liaison for software/hardware related inquiries.
    • Participate in team meetings.
    • Provides support across The Osthoff Resort practices as required.
    • Potential on-call support for after-hours work.
    • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of industry experience including (but not limited to); Windows technologies including Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems. OR
    • Associate degree and 4 years of industry technical experience including (but not limited to); Windows technologies including Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing and backup systems.
    • VCeneter and Veeam knowledge for Virtual Machines
    • Excellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.

Kid's Activities

  • Kids’ Activities Representative (Seasonal)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    As an Activities Representative, you will work with children, ages 4-10, in the Osthoff Kids Club program, which offers kids a chance to enjoy the surroundings and traditions of a Wisconsin Resort. Responsibilities include leading children in arts and crafts projects, tie-dying t-shirts, decorating cupcakes, facilitating movie nights, learning to paddle, fishing on the Elkhart Lake dock and more!

    Qualifications

    • Strong customer/ guest service skills
    • Experience working with children is a plus.
    • Must be able to work independently, be reliable, outgoing, & a flexible schedule.

Maintenance

  • Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift, Full Time)

    Job Purpose

    To keep The Osthoff Resort current on all industry trends regarding electronic and digital media as it pertains to the property.   The focus will also be on keeping property signage and internal and external Guest communications in a manner that supports the AAA Four Diamond brand expectation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for Building maintenance in units and common areas of the resort
    • Responsible for swimming pool and Spa maintenance
    • Responsible for swimming pool and Spa chemical testing and monitoring per state mandated guidelines
    • Perform PM maintenance on equipment as needed.
    • Perform daily water system testing and monitoring.
    • Assist ground crew when needed.
    • Perform carpet cleaning and carpet equipment maintenance.
    • Perform Fire system inspection and testing as needed.
    • HVAC system maintenance and monitoring using Honeywell programing.
    • Perform minor plumbing and electrical as needed adhering to regulations and guidelines.
    • Document work completion and parts used in work management system.
    • Using the computer system to verify room occupancy prior to performing maintenance work.
    • Report the need for spare parts or attic stock inventory.
    • All other duties as assigned by department Director and/or Executive Team members.

    Qualifications

    • Education: High School Diploma
    • Strong customer/ guest service skills
    • Must be able to perform general maintenance activities in units and public areas.
    • Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment.
    • Must have flexibility in time to meet the business needs of the department and the Organization.
    • HVAC training or certification or experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment a plus.
    • Must have or are willing to obtain after 1 year of employment the state required CPO Certificate for swimming pool operations.
    • Qualified candidates must have strong organizational skills. They must possess the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and motivated personality. Due to the nature of this position the candidate may be required to work varying hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to learn quickly and accurately.
