A Girlfriends Getaway at Aspira Spa: A Blissful Retreat

girlfriends getaway

As I stepped into the elegant lobby of The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of excitement wash over me. This was the start of a much-needed 2-night, 3-day Girlfriends Getaway with my three best friends. We were all looking forward to some quality time together, and the resort’s luxurious amenities promised to make our stay unforgettable.

Day 1: Arrival and Culinary Delights

Upon checking in, we were thrilled to find our spacious 3-bedroom suite, complete with a full kitchen and two bathrooms—perfect for four women. The suite offered plenty of space for us to relax, make snacks, and even prepare meals if we chose to stay in. However, our first evening was all about indulging in the resort’s culinary offerings.

We headed to the Concourse Restaurant and Lounge, where we were greeted with a warm ambiance and an enticing menu. We decided to share a variety of dishes, including Garlic Confit Crostinis, Parmesan Truffle Fries, New Zealand Lamb Lollipops, Smash Burger, and Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts. Each bite was a delight, and there were no leftovers in sight. To top off our meal, we took a couple of pieces of Peanut Butter Torte back to our suite to enjoy later that night.

Day 2: A Day of Pampering at Aspira Spa

Our second day began with a quick bite and coffee in The Elk Room, where we savored the view and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. With our energy replenished, we made our way to Aspira Spa for a full day of pampering.

The spa experience started with a warm welcome as we checked in and changed into our plush robes in the locker room. We then gathered in the Meditation Sanctuary, a serene space that set the tone for the relaxation ahead. Each of us had chosen different services—while I opted for the Hammam experience, my friends enjoyed custom massages and facials. After our treatments, we met up in the Spa Café for a delightful lunch.

The rest of the day was spent indulging in the spa’s luxurious amenities. We relaxed in the sauna, soaked in the indoor and outdoor whirlpools, and made the most of the lovely locker room facilities. The experience was so rejuvenating that we decided to stay in for the night, enjoying room service for dinner and relishing the comfort of our suite.

Day 3: A Perfect Ending

On our final day, we packed up our room and checked out, but our getaway wasn’t over yet. We grabbed our morning coffee and a quick snack from The Elk Trader gift shop before

heading back to Aspira Spa for a Salt Room session. This final touch of relaxation was the perfect way to conclude our trip.

We couldn’t resist adding a Spa Day Pass to enjoy the spa amenities one more time. Another lunch at the Spa Café, along with another round of the outdoor whirlpool and sauna, made our last moments at the resort truly special.

As we left The Osthoff Resort, we felt completely relaxed and refreshed. Our Girlfriends Getaway had been everything we hoped for and more, thanks to the exceptional hospitality and luxurious offerings of The Osthoff Resort and Aspira Spa. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable escape. It’s perfectly close but just far enough away to feel secluded in lakefront perfection.
