Aspira Spa Estheticians Answer Your Top Questions

Skincare has been revolutionized in the last 10 years. From serums to red light therapy, there have been advances in skincare to keep skin looking more even and youthful for longer, and Aspira Spa is on the cutting edge of those advances. However, the benefits of our facial services must be maintained through good at-home routines and products. Here are some of Aspira Spa’s Estheticians who give their advice and tips for getting the most of your service and which services they’d recommend.

  1.  What is your best skincare advice?

NICOLE: “Your esthetician is like your “personal trainer,” and your at-home skincare routine is like your “daily workout”! Your esthetician will give you professional advice and make the appropriate changes each month to meet your skincare goals by customizing not only your facial, but your step-by-step skincare regimen for AM & PM. Our skin is constantly changing with the season and with our hormones so hone in on making those changes consistently with products.”

CHRISTINE: “My best skincare advice for the younger generation is to always use SPF, and to use antioxidants and hyaluronic acids in your skin care routine for age prevention. For the older generation, make your nighttime routine a priority. Use gentle retinols and hydrating serums.”

HANNAH: “My best skincare advice is to be consistent! It is very important when wanting to achieve the best results possible to have a routine and stick to it. It is also important for just good skin hygiene in general.”

  • If someone is new to skincare, what is their one or two must-have products?

CHRISTINE: “Must have products are first and foremost a cleanser, morning and night. Make sure you are using a cleanser best suited for your skin’s needs. I love the coconut milk cleanser for dry/dehydrated skin. I love the AHA BHA daily cleansing gel for normal/oily. I also believe moisturizers are key, even for oily skin. They keep the skin moisture levels evened as well as help with topical conditions.”

NICOLE: “Serums are truly the game changers in skincare and tend to be the most concentrated actives which will target your main skincare concerns from lack of hydration, to wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Also, the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads are designed to never throw the skin off balance, and micro peeling daily will make your other products work more effectively.”

HANNAH: “Someone new to skincare should always start with a cleanser and a moisturizer. This is the most basic of skincare routines but can make a huge difference in the look and feel of someone’s skin. “

  • What are the benefits of getting a facial?

HANNAH: “There are so many benefits of receiving a facial! Besides the obvious relaxation factor, getting a facial brings your skin back to a clean, balanced state that can greatly improve the appearance of the skin. From treating certain concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, redness and irritation, dryness and dullness to acne or rosacea, facials can provide a confidence boost and overall well-being.”

NICOLE: “Being consistent and getting monthly treatments is key to truly seeing results and meeting your skincare goals. The esthetician will use higher actives and percentages in the treatment room and customize each treatment. Each highly skilled esthetician gives a professional skincare consultation and the best at-home recommendations in between your facial treatments.”

CHRISTINE: “Facials help to renew skin cells, leading to glowy, smoother skin. They also help to improve blood flow, clear clogged pores and nourish the skin.”

  • What is your favorite facial Aspira offers and why?

CHRISTINE: “My favorite facial service is the Chroma Lift for its uniqueness. It’s a deeply hydrating, anti-aging facial that delivers green apple stem cells to plump and firm the skin. Lymphatic detoxing is done to reduce puffiness while uplifting the skin. You can actually see the difference after this 80-minute facial.”

HANNAH: “My favorite facial that Aspira offers is the Biodynamic 80-minute facial. Having the longer time, custom products, LED red light therapy and lymphatic drainage really put this one in front for me.”

NICOLE: “I think all the facials are important as they each do something different for your skin. I think it’s important for the client to rotate the facial treatments as since some of the facial treatments are working from the inside-out stimulating collagen, and some are working from the outside-in exfoliating, lifting and toning the skin.”
